6. New Gas Price for Power Sector (Q4 2020)| The gas price for power sector for Q4 2020 had been updated to RM 16.92/mmbtu on 8 October 2020. The lag of this update has resulted in deviation between the forecast System Marginal Price (SMP) and the actual SMP in early October 2020. During the period, the forecast SMP 2020 had been produced based on Q3 2020’s gas price at RM 25.098/mmbtu, whereas the actual SMP was produced later using the new gas price for Q4 2020. | | 14/10/2020 | | |
